Today I feel surrounded
Sitting in the sun
Blanketed by invisible warmth
Basking in all that I have done

Today feels not like the weekend
What does nature have to say?
I soften my ability to reason
And look around the day

Sounds of distant birds chirping
They have quite a lot to share
The sounds of cars absent
They must be excited about the air

How grand the blue skies are
Clouds shape shifting up above
“Wispy” and “cumulonimbus”
Favorite words of a woman I love

Relinquished of social obligations
My heart feels relieved
I dive into a mini vacation
Resting, slightly fatigued
